36th Milano Unica, at Fieramilano Rho from 31 January to 2 February where the Spring/Summer 2024 collections showed, ended with an encouraging result. The edition of the reference fair for high-end fabrics and accessories for women’s and men’s clothing, in fact, recorded an influx of visitors that weighed positively above all on foreign markets.
A total of 5,304, with a +47.5% on the February 2022 edition, were visitors to the 36th Milano Unica, of which 1,500 from abroad (+105%) and 3,804 Italians (+33%).
On the other hand, 475 international exhibiting companies presented their collections of high-end fabrics and accessories for spring/summer 2024.

During the three days, there were various exhibition itineraries and proposals presented by entrepreneurs for the 2024 collections, anticipated in the creative suggestions presented in September during MU Tendenze.

More and more international

The official data regarding the 36th Milano Unica https://www.milanounica.it/it confirm the recovery of some countries with a very strong increase in attendance from Korea, in addition to the decidedly important data from Japan (+423%), the USA (+ 143%), Great Britain (+77%) Germany (+67%), and France (+32%).
“All the most important countries, towards which our export of fabrics is directed, register significant presences in terms of absolute values and double or even triple-digit percentage increases”, as recalled by the president Alessandro Barberis Canonico.
Barberis Canonico also reserved special consideration for the offer presented during the three days of the fair: “We noted that the exhibitors present underlined the qualitative contribution not only of the services offered, but also of the qualified selection of visitors. The decision to deal with the theme of traceability during the inaugural ceremony wanted to highlight that, today, the product can no longer be supported only by creativity, but requires guaranteeing its excellence through an increasingly responsible conscience, understood as transparency, authenticity , reliability and immutability, as well as containing the values of social, environmental and made in Italy ethics. These aspects are the key to providing new competitive advantages for the industrial sector”.

36th Milano Unica: the contribution of ICE Agency

Also important in this 36th edition is the contribution of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ICE Agency, which have been supporting the organizers since the first edition. In particular, as recalled by the general manager Massimo Mosiello, for the incoming operation on international visitors and highly qualified foreign press delegations.
Also this year there was no lack of support given by the partnership with Pitti Immagine for e-MilanoUnica Connect, a digital marketplace platform dedicated to professionals in the sector. Online with the new Spring/Summer 2024 collections was an important tool for getting to know participating companies and to plan your visit.
