
Approximately 1,000 exhibitors are expected at the next edition of the 51st Mido edition, from 4 to 6 February at Fieramilano Rho. The 51st edition of the international eyewear show will welcome the entire eyewear supply chain from all over the world in the 6 pavilions of the exhibition centre. The exhibiting companies that will exhibit come from all over the world representing the entire supply chain of the eyewear sector.
Germany, France, Austria, Spain, Denmark, USA, UK, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Turkey and even Mauritius are some of the most represented countries.
More than 30 appointments including conferences, meetings, round tables and events scheduled during the three days of the show.
51th Mido edition: meetings and conferences
Among the guests who will participate in the events in the OttiClub space, in pavilion 3, is confirmed Nick Cerioni, creative director and stylist who “hides” behind the image of various characters. Like the Måneskin, Orietta Berti, Gianni Morandi, Jovanotti, Laura Pausini, Pierfrancesco Favino and many others.
Cerioni will be a guest at the round table “How to define the look and personality through eyewear”, which is part of the “How to?” cycle.
At Otticlub we will also talk about the interior design of the stores with the architect Martino Berghinz (Sunday 5) and communication and creativity with the researcher Luisa Aschiero and the multidisciplinary artist Felice Limosani (Monday 6).
Furthermore, during the 51st Mido edition, the conference “Ophthalmology, optics and optometry: what future with new technologies” will be held at the Fieramilano Rho Auditorium on Saturday 4 February, which will be attended by the president of Mido and Anfao Mido, Giovanni Vitaloni , together with exponents of the industrial and retail world of the optical sector and the ophthalmologist area.
The new CSE Award – Certified Sustainable Eyewear
Sunday 5, instead, in the square of the Fashion District, in pavilion 1, the appointment with the awards ceremony of the awards that the 51th Mido edition https://www.mido.com/ will assign to optical stores, exhibitors and, new this year, to companies in the sector.
BeStore Award is the recognition assigned to optical centers that stand out for their shopping experience and customer services, while Stand Up For Green, now in its 2nd edition, is assigned to the stand that stands out at the fair for its attention to the environment
Furthermore, the CSE Award – Certified Sustainable Eyewear will be presented for the first time in this edition.
Conceived by the salon in collaboration with Anfao and Certottica, the award assesses sustainability in the eyewear sector at an international level.
