The first edition of the 1th Fieragricola TECH, a vertical event dedicated to innovation in agriculture, will be inaugurated from 1 to 2 February at Veronafiere. With 60 exhibitors and over 50 events including conferences and company workshops, the two-day event combines training and business, kicking off the debate on the challenges facing Italian and world agriculture. A sector grappling with climate change, ecological transition, the need to increase agricultural production by improving circularity, declining multifunctionality to increase income opportunities and economic, environmental and social sustainability and to increase energy independence. Buyers, agricultural entrepreneurs and professionals from Algeria, Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia will also participate in the 1st Fieragricola TECH.
The focus of the event concerns in particular issues relating to digitization in agriculture, robotics and smart irrigation, renewable energy, biostimulants and biocontrol systems.

An answer to the challenges of the sector

The event aims to respond to the needs of a sector that is increasingly attentive to innovation and to continue the process of digitization in agriculture which today involves the majority of agricultural and agro-mechanical companies to varying degrees. It is a market – according to estimates by the fair itself – which is worth around 2 billion euros in 2022.
The 1st Fieragricola TECH https://www.fieragricola.it/category/fieragricola-tech/ represents therefore a concrete response to the need for further study of the current technologies available to the agricultural system. At the same time, it is a training opportunity for entrepreneurs, professionals and operators in the agricultural sector.
The event is aimed, in particular, at agricultural and agro-mechanical entrepreneurs, breeders, veterinarians, agronomists, agro-technicians, land surveyors, energy managers, engineers and planners in the agro-zootechnical sector, reclamation consortia. Without forgetting universities and research institutions, Public Administration.

“The 1st Fieragricola TECH  – comments Maurizio Danese, managing director of Veronafiere – was born from the need to offer the agricultural system continuity in the process of modernizing companies, through an event that is ideally linked to the 116th edition of Fieragricola, an exhibition international event dedicated to agriculture, scheduled from 31 January to 3 February 2024, with a strong verticalization of the agricultural machinery, animal husbandry, renewable energy, services, vineyard and orchard supply chains”.
