The 95th Micam Milano, the international footwear exhibition, Mipel https://mipel.com/, dedicated to leather goods and fashion accessories, and TheOneMilano https://www.theonemilano.com/it/ are back at Fieramilano Rho from 19 to 22 February , the international pole of pret-à-porter.
Over the four days, news and innovations will be presented to confirm the recovery of the sectors represented by the three Milanese appointments, part of Confindustria Moda, maintaining the synergy established in the last two years.
As always, space for Made in Italy, much appreciated especially abroad. While there will be the most interesting international proposals capable of combining different cultures.
The 3 events will partially overlap with Homi Fashion&Jewels (from 17 to 20 February) and Lineapelle, from 21 to 23 February, offering operators an additional opportunity to discover novelties and trends in sometimes contiguous sectors.
A journey towards sustainability
While waiting for the inauguration, 95th Micam Milan www.themicam.com presented “Micam of Oz”, the third episode and third fairy tale of the #micamtales project.
This time the protagonist is a great classic in the history of cinema, the musical film that inspired the new image of the international footwear fair.
Creatively directed by MM Company x Laureri Associates, #micamtales continues, in fact, with this declination which concludes the project.
So after “Micam in Wonderland” dedicated to the fairy tale of Alice, and “Micam Glass Slipper” starring Cinderella, this year the story concerns the journey of the young protagonist, accompanied by two rather picturesque guests – a super-fashionable scarecrow and a man of tin –, at the Emerald Castle. To reach it, however, it is necessary to travel the Emerald road, a metaphor for the path of social responsibility that every company must take, with determination and an ethical spirit. A symbolic path, which intends to represent the journey of companies towards sustainability.
At the 95th Micam, a metaphor for entrepreneurial life
And “Micam of Oz” represents an encouragement for companies in the footwear sector to follow the demanding but important path towards sustainability, a path enriched with surprises and magic that will accompany companies and operators until the next edition.
“This fairy tale – as underlined by Giovanna Ceolini, president of both the event and of Assocalzaturifici – is also a metaphor for entrepreneurial life, made up of small and large daily challenges to overcome, and goals to achieve. Today more than ever being a business is not easy: it is necessary to keep up-to-date by looking with determination and an ethical spirit at the big issues, such as sustainability, which has become essential”.
The 95th Micam will accompany visitors by recounting topical moments of history reinterpreted in a contemporary and at times ironic key. The campaign photos are by the photographer Fabrizio Scarpa, while the short film is signed by the director Giuseppe Cardaci.
