Spotlights on from 18 to 19 January in Bologna on the 19th Marca by BolognaFiere, organized in collaboration with ADM – Associazione Distribuzione Moderna and with the patronage of the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Bologna Chamber of Commerce.
At the nineteenth edition, food and non-food products of Italian excellence under the distributor’s brand will be on display, an opportunity to do business, establish partnerships and develop synergies with the main brands of modern distribution.

A growing sector

More than 900 exhibitors will be present at the 19th Marca by BolognaFiere, while the main brands gathered in the Technical-Scientific Committee of the event have reached 22.
Six pavilions – one more than in the 2022 edition) – for a total offer of around 23,000 m2 of net exhibition area. A confirmation of the growth that the private label is registering in the choices of consumers in Italy and in Europe.
Food continues to play an important role with around 650 brands exhibiting new and trendy products. For its part, the non-food sector extends dedicated spaces and attention with 250 brands present.
The basket of products for home care is expanding in this area and, for the first time in clear growth, those for personal care. In particular, the themes of effectiveness and sustainability are at the center, while solutions related to packaging, services and logistics are increasing.

The formats of the 19th Marca by BolognaFiere

Now in its third edition, cil oncept Marca Fresh, dedicated to sustainable innovation in the sector, reaches 900 square meters of exhibition space in pavilion 16, with over 50 confirmed exhibitors. The format presents itself with a central space – “piazza dei fresco” – and with a program of meetings, presentations and successful case histories dedicated to the segment.
Environmental sustainability and innovation are more than ever necessary paradigms. With this in mind, the ninth edition of Marca Tech is also confirmed. With 1,500 square meters and the participation of over 60 companies, this thematic area confirms itself as a fundamental hub for companies that want to stay updated on the most innovative logistics and sustainable packaging proposals.

The prize for the best products

After the debut at the last edition of 19th Marca by BolognaFiere https://www.marca.bolognafiere.it, the International Private Label Selection Award is back again in 2023. The result of the international selection of new products, organized in collaboration with IPLC-The Retailer Brand Specialists, will be presented at the fair. A selection that aims to find the best products in the main categories of large-scale consumption, deemed most suitable for making it on international markets.
In the Open International Arena – Spazio Agorà, on the afternoon of 18 January, the award ceremony will kick off in anticipation of a moment of discussion dedicated to the European Mdd scenario and the expectations of retailers towards producers.

The buyers arriving at the 19th Marca by BolognaFiere

Thanks to the consolidated partnership with ICE-Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalization of Italian companies, and to the International Buyers Program dedicated to international buyers, a delegation of over 200 operators has already registered for the 2023 edition of MARCA by BolognaFiere coming from the most important international markets and interested in the best Made in Italy products, under the private label. From Japan to South Korea, from the United States to Saudi Arabia, from Argentina to Singapore, more than 50 countries in the world are represented by buyers already accredited to the event.
