Taste 2023, an exhibition focused on contemporary food culture, will be staged at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence from 4 to 6 February.
Among the participants in the 16th edition 500 companies. Of these, over 80 are taking part for the first time, while there is an increasingly international presence of buyers also arriving from emerging markets.
The Fortezza da Basso has been reconfirmed as a location for the second time. A choice that has allowed the event to grow and expand into an increasingly articulated exhibition itinerary. In addition to being recognized as an ideal place for discovery and business for an audience of experts in the international and high-level sector.
Taste 2023 has therefore shed its skin, while remaining true to itself. The transition from the Stazione Leopolda to the Fortezza da Basso – necessary during the pandemic – offered the right opportunity for the show to express its full potential.
A new scenography that was primarily appreciated by the companies. In fact, 90% of the participants in the last edition decided to be present again this year. The new entrants were instead selected with direct scouting or by evaluating the more than 250 requests for participation received by the organizers.
An “Out of Taste” calendar
This is just a preview of the event signed by Pitti Immagine and dedicated to Italian food and wine excellence, the result of tradition, territorial peculiarities and extraordinary family and entrepreneurial histories.
From savory to sweet, from soft drinks to spirits, without forgetting table design, they will be at the center of a journey made up of increasingly creative and aware proposals.
As always, the whole Tuscan city will come alive with the “Fuori Di Taste” appointments, which include themed dinners, presentations and events to taste the products presented at the fair, even in Florentine venues. The buyers of the most important specialized shops, food distribution companies, department stores and importers of Italian excellence will reach Florence to discover the proposals of Taste 2023 https://taste.pittimmagine.com/. Among the reference markets: United States, France, United Kingdom, China and Arab Emirates. And among the new markets present at this edition, buyers and food professionals are expected from Brazil, India, Poland, Singapore and Kyrgyzstan.
The protagonist will be pasta
The main ingredient of Italian cuisine, pasta will be the star of this 16th edition. A food made of tradition, typicality, conviviality, nourishment and creativity. It is certainly home, but more and more it is also haute cuisine.
Taste 2023 will offer a special journey to discover the experiences and facets of the world of pasta, and the names of some important pasta factories. The theme will also be declined with an installation at the entrance to the Unicredit Taste Arena, as well as being at the center of the topics of the Taste Talks and will also make an inroad into the Taste Rings curated by Davide Paolini.
