Sustainability in eyewear

These are some of the criteria that the jury will evaluate to decide the winners of one of the 6 categories.
Namely: Sunglasses Europe; Sunglasses Rest of the World; Frames Europe: Frames Rest of the World; Cases Europe; Cases Rest of the World.
To participate, it will be necessary to fill in the online form available from 15 December to 15 January 2023 in the “Participate” section of the official website of the event.
A boost to growth
“A dutiful step in eyewear – comments Giovanni Vitaloni, president of MIDO Milano 2023 www.mido.com -. In our sector we have companies that have been truly committed and active in the field of sustainability (environmental, social, economic) for a long time.
I’m thinking of the big players but also of independent brands that make products that try to impact the ecosystem as little as possible. I believe that we should put everything together, drawing inspiration from the experience of these companies, improving where possible and continually updating ourselves to thus make the whole industry grow in this direction, with great professionalism and seriousness of purpose.
This award is a fundamental milestone for us which, however, does not decree the end of this journey, but the stage of a journey that began in 2019 which obtained, for the 2022 edition, the ISO 20121:2012 certification, which certifies the sustainable management of great events”.
