10th Milan Games Week & Cartoomics, from 25 to 27 November at Fieramilano Rho, confirmed the expectations of an edition that already promised to be a record-breaking one.
The consumer show dedicated to the world of video games, comics and pop culture, produced and organized by Fiera Milano in collaboration with Fandango Club Creators, was indeed filled with participation, guests, dimensions and entertainment. Over 105,000 tickets sold, a respectable result.
Meanwhile, the organizers have announced the dates of the next edition which will take place from 24 to 26 November 2023 in the now traditional setting of Fieramilano Rho.

Even more space

This year for the first time the 10th Milan Games Week & Cartoomics occupied 4 pavilions of the fairgrounds (8-12-16-20. Pavilions 16 and 20 were dedicated to videogames, esports and many creators, streamers and influencers who were protagonists of the event. More than 5 thousand square meters were dedicated to gaming with hundreds of game stations between Nintendo, Sony Interactive Entertainment Italia (PlayStation), Bandai Namco Entertainment and the Gaming Zone Powered by GameStop. International personalities from comics and like Troy Baker, one of the greatest actors in the world of video games (Joel in The Last of Us) or Humberto Ramos, one of the most important designers of Spiderman.

On display the creations of independent studios

Twenty-one independent development studios with their 23 exhibited titles have become the protagonists of the Indie Dungeon area, the historic area of ​​the event which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. Created in collaboration with IIDEA, the trade association of the video game industry in Italy, it gave studios the opportunity to showcase their creations to get noticed by thousands of enthusiasts and insiders. Very high turnout in the thematic areas dedicated to all-round entertainment, cosplay shows, board games, cards or role-playing games and comics. The exhibitions dedicated to Diabolik – 60 years since the release of the first issue – and Spider-Man, also born in 1962, are also very popular.
Furthermore, the 10th Milan Games Week & Cartoomics has landed for the first time in the Metaverse. The Metaverse Arena on Roblox, created in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo, was a real attraction, capable of involving the public with increasingly exciting levels of play. The leitmotif of the activity is education in the conscious use of the web aimed at GenZ, with the aim of promoting safety and attention to the issue.
