The 45th Eima International, the world exhibition of agricultural mechanics from 9 to 13 November at Bolognafiere, closes with a record number of visitors.
The 2022 edition in fact reached its maximum historical result, with 327,100 visitors, of which 57,300 from abroad. In the 5 days of the exhibition organized by FederUnacoma, the number of visitors exceeded the record (317,000) set in 2018, before the crisis caused by the pandemic.

Eima’s mission

The 45th Eima International therefore exceeds the most critical two-year period for trade fairs, namely that of 2020-2022, determined first by the health emergency and then by the difficult economic situation.
The international character is the strong point of this exhibition – as underlined by the organizers – it is the element that identifies it and makes it recognizable from any other. Foreign visitors, coming from every continent, cover 18% of the total attendance. As many as 80 official delegations of economic operators, organized thanks to ICE Agenzia, which animated the business meetings in the specially set up Foreign Delegations Pavilion.
“The success of the 45th Eima International confirms the growing interest in new generation agricultural technologies that make it possible to cover the food needs of a global population that will grow by almost one billion units – underlined Alessandro Malavolti, president of FederUnacoma – and confirms how in every region of the world work is being done to innovate cultivation methods, trying to use water resources and soil fertility in a scientific and sustainable way. From this perspective, a fair like ours has an important mission for future years as well ”.

Focus on investments

A success was recorded by the 45th Eima International https://www.eima.it/it/index.php which arises from investments to promote it and to involve all strategic targets, to which are added those created by BolognaFiere to improve the structures of the exhibition center, which, as mentioned by Simona Rapastella, FederUnacoma general manager, will continue over the next few years.

The next edition is already scheduled for 6 to 10 November 2024. Also worth remembering for agricultural mechanics is the return of Agrilevante by Eima, an exhibition dedicated to mechanization for crops in the Mediterranean area that will take place in Bari from 5 to 8 October 2023 .
