The Xylexpo 2022 Edition, the international biennial of technologies for the furniture industry and the world of wood, which animated pavilions 22 and 24 of FieraMilano-Rho for four days ended on Saturday 15 October.
In fact, over 16 thousand unique visitors entered the 27th edition, a number that rises to over 22 thousand if we consider the entrances, or that a visitor may have entered several times in the four days of the fair.
The numbers of the biennial
Of the 16 thousand unique visitors, 12,356 were registered at the entrance turnstiles and at least 4 thousand – according to initial estimates – came from Viscom Italia and above all from 33.Bimu.
In fact, this year the Xylexpo 2022 Edition, the biennial of technologies for wood and furniture, was held for the first time in conjunction with the digital communication review and with the fair of machine tools for mechanics organized by Ucimu.
The two events dedicated to manufacturing technology generated a virtuous circle, immediately detected by the organizers and already announced by visitors during pre-registration, when a large part of them confirmed their interest in visiting the concurrent fair as well.
A satisfaction fueled by the fact that the Xylexpo 2022 Edition www.xylexpo.com is probably the only post-pandemic fair that can boast a number of unique visitors in line with the data of the last pre-Covid edition, in 2018.
The presence of foreign visitors decreased by a few percentage points (from 28% in 2018 to 25% in this edition). A figure in line with the organizers’ expectations in light of the closure of the Chinese, Russian and Ukrainian markets, which have always been attentive to Italian technologies.
The opinion of the organization
“The data confirmed not only the role of the Xylexpo 2022 Edition – declared Luigi De Vito, president of the event and of Acimall – but also and above all the choices made for this edition. pillars on which the fairs of the future will have to be founded: from a different strategy in the presentation of products to a strong emphasis on new digital services that can only enrich the essence of an exhibition “.
