The second appointment with Abilmente Milano is back this year too, which will take place from 3 to 6 November at Superstudio Maxi.
This second edition of the event will see numerous courses, workshops and workshops, where you can test your creativity. Like The Quick Lazy Dog’s calligraphy lessons for fans of lettering, paper and color.

A performance by the artistic duo DAMSS

In the Milanese location, in addition to 130 stands, there will also be a textile installation by the artistic duo DAMSS dedicated to the city of Milan, together with the cult area “The Way of Ideas”, particularly rich in handcrafted creations and imaginative ideas.
The work of DAMSS represents a denunciation and an invitation to reflect on what could happen if we do not take measures to limit the climate emergency already underway. A work created on a 10.50 x 4 meter textile panel, obtained exclusively with recycled materials.
A reflection that starts from Abilmente Milano, where the metropolis is literally suffocated by polluted air, with the need for mega aerators that provide oxygen to face the adverse climate, with giant alien creepers that grow to the top of the skyscrapers in search of survival.
In the city, the first fringes of an unpleasantly colored sea appearing along the canals, the monuments most dear to the Milanese have been duplicated to reinforce the idea that the city is improving. The moon shattered after a collision, throwing some of its fragments into the sky that were captured by the force of the sun.

The new appointment in Turin

Divided into four appointments, one in spring and four in autumn – in addition to Abilmente Milano, Rome, Vicenza and Turin – this appointment with creative manual skills is organized by Italian Exhibition Group.
Over the years, the event has become the reference point in Italy for communities of crafters and Do It Yourself enthusiasts.
Open to the general public and suitable for the whole family, in 2022 the event added the city of Turin to the calendar, where the first edition of the fair took place from 20 to 23 October, bringing 130 exhibitors to the Lingotto Fiere. Textile art was at the center of attention with Quilt Italia which presented an exhibition of traditional patchwork made by the associates.
