After four years of waiting at FieraMilano-Rho, the 27th Xylexpo, the international biennial of technologies for the furniture industry and the world of wood, is back until 15 October. The event takes place in conjunction with 33.BI-MU and Viscom Italia.
Pavilions 22 and 24 of the exhibition center – over 36 thousand square meters of exhibition space – will welcome 280 exhibitors, a third of which from across the border, will be the protagonists of an offer that embraces all the most advanced technologies, from the first transformation to surface finishing.
“This year we preferred to avoid any dispersion, doing everything possible to concentrate the presence of exhibitors in two pavilions, thus avoiding” appendages “that would have had less appeal for visitors – explained Dario Corbetta, director of the event -. We evaluated for a time that would have been a different 27th Xylexpo than in the past, for the reasons we know, and we made choices that rewarded the quality of the exhibition and not the sale of the spaces, so much so that today we have about twenty companies that – having decided too late to participate – will not be able to be with us “.
The tried and tested partnership with Ice-Agency also this year has given good results, with the presence at the fair of a series of delegations of operators from all over the world, over 300 leading buyers.
There are many elements of interest that flank the more commercial function of the event. Starting with Xylexpo Digital, a clear sign of the biennial’s will to propose new models for the use of the event. As always, in addition to the exhibition part, it will also be possible to attend the many events scheduled in the “Xylexpo Arena”.
27th Xylexpo, twinning with 33.BI-MU
Of note, among the novelties of this year, is the move to October. A shift motivated by the needs of the calendar due to the pandemic trend and the choice to join 33.BI-MU https://www.bimu.it/ to create a single and large event dedicated to manufacturing technologies.
A choice imposed for a long time that suggests everyone to evaluate each option with the utmost attention can give greater satisfaction to exhibitors and visitors.
The “twinning” with the exhibition of machine tools organized by UCIMU is certainly a plus of this edition. This is also demonstrated by the data collected by the pre-registration services of the two fairs, from which it emerges that over sixty percent of visitors to 27th Xylexpo https://www.xylexpo.com/it/ will drop by to see the metalworking machines and viceversa.
It therefore seems that the choice of the organizers to join forces and to imagine a new, larger container dedicated to technologies for the transformation of wood, metals and composite materials has actually generated a pole with a certain force of attraction.
A family to which Viscom Italia has recently joined https://www.viscomitalia.it/, an exhibition dedicated to visual communication where there will be a significant space dedicated to digital printing, one of the “strongest” times in this season for the finishing sector.
