After the success of the last edition with the participation of over 300 beers, labels and packaging, Solobirra and Best Laber are back https://hospitalityriva.it/en/concorsi-solobirra, contest linked to Hospitality 2023 – Il Salone dell’Accoglienza www .hospitalityriva.it.
Both initiatives are designed to test the quality and creativity of the best Italian and international craft beers respectively.
The contest awards will take place during the 47th edition of the international event dedicated to the Ho.Re.Ca. sector, scheduled from 6 to 9 February 2023 at the Riva del Garda exhibition center.
Hospitality 2023: the peculiarities of craft beer
In fact, since 15 September, registrations have opened for the 2023 edition of Solobirra, a special area dedicated to the artisanal brewing sector. Until 18 December it will be possible to participate in the technical competition that evaluates the organoleptic and taste properties of unfiltered and unpasteurized craft beers, made by Breweries, Beer Firm, Brewery Rent and Brew Pub.
The beers – already on the market and not – will be evaluated by a jury of experts who will decide the first three classified in each of the 24 categories in the competition. Special “Beer of the year 2023” award to the reference which, from the total sum of the points awarded during the evaluation phase by all the jurors, will result with the highest score.

By the same date it will also be possible to participate in Best Label 2023, a graphic competition that enhances the originality of the labels.
Particular attention will be paid by the jury to the aesthetic-communicative values of the projects, able to promote their product in an incisive way, while maintaining a high degree of attention to the quality and sustainability of the materials used.
Also up for grabs is the “Best Coordinated Packaging” prize which combines creativity with functionality.
The collaboration with Fedrigoni, specialized in the production of special papers and self-adhesive materials for packaging, graphics and labeling, was also confirmed in this edition.
The winning beers will be exhibited, on the days of the fair, in the special Solobirra Hospitality 2023 area. A space that will also be a stage for tastings, training meetings, seminars.
