With the publication of the implementing decree on 9 August, the so-called “Fair Bonus” becomes operational. We had already talked about it on 11 July, illustrating article 25-bis of the law decree of 17 May 2022, no. 50 https://www.gazzettaufficiale.it/eli/id/2022/05/17/22G00059/sg. A government provision that introduced a 10 thousand euro voucher in favor of companies participating in international trade fairs organized in our country.
34 million are allocated to this facility for those companies that will participate in the “click-day” to win the incentive.
The comment of the president Aefi
Thus Maurizio Danese, president of Aefi-Associazione Esposizioni e Fiere Italian, commented on the measure, included in the Aid decree: “With the publication of the implementing decree published today (9 August, ed) by the Ministry of Economic Development and relating to the so-called “Bonus fairs”, which allocates 34 million euros in favor of companies participating in international events organized in our country, fills an important void in favor of Made in Italy entrepreneurial realities and the Italian fair system.
The device, the result of an amendment signed by the deputy Benedetta Fiorini (Lega), is the latest in a series of significant actions undertaken by the outgoing government in favor of the post-Covid restart of the sector and the international competitiveness of our production fabric, to starting from the overcoming of the “de minimis” regime and from the activation of a refreshment system which has proved to be fundamental “.
The mechanism of the new Bonus fair bonus
As already pointed out in July, to join, of course, a few steps are required.
First of all, the events that can become the subject of the fund must fall within the calendar approved by the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces.
In addition, they must take place within a period of time between the date of entry into force of the law converting the decree law until 31 December 2022.
And again: valid until November 30, 2022, the voucher can be requested only once by each beneficiary for the reimbursement of expenses and investments related to participation in the events.
The request to access the Fair Bonus will be submitted electronically, through the platform that will be made available by Mise, the implementing body.
Finally, the bonus is granted according to the “de minimis” regime. In other words: those companies that have already saturated the ceiling of 200 thousand euros on a three-year basis will not be admitted, also considering the concept of “single company”.
By 31 December 2022, the fund will be disbursed by crediting the current account, communicated during the issue phase.
The maximum reimbursement is equal to 50% of the investments made by the beneficiaries. However, the voucher must be contained within the maximum limit of the value of the assigned fund.
In case of failure, irregular or untimely presentation of the request and the necessary documentation, no sum will be paid.
