On 11 July the presentation tour of Eima 2022 started in Central and Eastern Africa, in particular Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda. The road show will end on July 15th.
The great agricultural mechanics event, which will take place at Bologna Fiere from 9 to 13 November, focuses on the sector press and an audience of operators selected by the local offices of the ICE Agency.
The tour started from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with an inaugural press conference. After the departure in the Ethiopian capital, the itinerant initiative will also include stops in Kampala and Nairobi, respectively the capitals of Uganda and Kenya, where it will stop on 13 and 15 July.

Objective of the EIMA 2022 initiative

Promoted by the ICE Agency and FederUnacoma, the Italian association of agricultural machinery manufacturers, the road show sees the participation of Italian diplomatic representatives in the three important and strategic African countries.
The primary objective will be to present the next edition of the Bolognese review, the first in the world in terms of internationality, to an audience of highly selected economic operators. A target in line with the technologies that the manufacturers will exhibit at Eima 2022 www.eima.it next November.
It should also be remembered that the road show on the African continent is also an opportunity to prepare the activities of the official delegations who, during the fair, will be in Bologna for business meetings with the Italian exhibiting industries.

Growth in imports

Already in 2021 – as the organizers pointed out – Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda recorded, according to StudiaBo analysts, a significant increase in the value of agricultural machinery imports, with percentages even higher than 30%.
According to analysts’ forecasts, the growth in imports should continue until 2025 with rates between 6% and 12%.
In the coming years, these three countries will therefore express a significant demand for agricultural machinery for agriculture. And Eima 2022 International, with its approximately 50,000 models on display, offers all the most advanced technological solutions for all types of agriculture.
