On 1 June, during the conference organized by Aefi – Association of Italian Fairs Exhibitions, which was held in Rome on the occasion of the 7th World Fair Day, some representatives of the Draghi government took part.
In particular, Giancarlo Giorgetti, Minister for Economic Development, and Luigi Di Maio, Head of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

World Fair Day: Giancarlo Giorgetti

Giancarlo Giorgetti, Minister for Economic Development, commented on the proposal of the president Aefi, Maurizio Danese, to set up a working table to facilitate aggregations within the trade fair world. A table considered “necessary, because apart from the players in the trade fair system, more ministries and different institutional subjects converge”. However, an effort must be made to “put the parties involved in line and bring out a coordinated and harmonious policy”. We also need a national exhibition plan based on aggregations and partnerships in favor of the internationalization of Made in Italy. The minister also stated that “the conviction that digital will probably never replace the physical dimension given by trade fairs has strengthened.”

World Fair Day: Luigi Di Maio

“The foreign ministry has strongly decided to support the fairs in attendance starting last June. And thanks to the cooperation with Aefi we have restarted them. Networking promoted by trade fairs is fundamental for us to recover ”. This was said by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio. Why The trade fair system is essential for the economic revitalization of the country. “This is why we have included trade fairs among the strategic pillars of our Pact for exports, which marked a turning point in public support policies for exports. For the next three years, a loan of 60 million euros a year has been allocated to this effect to strengthen participation in the main events in Italy and abroad “.
