The 60th Salone del Mobile .Milano is – finally and again – at the starting line, with the 2022 edition getting ready for the (re) departure from 7 to 12 June.
The event returns to the presence, in its most complete form, reaffirming the value of encounter, confrontation, dialogue. A global event that represents the pivot of a virtuous system that has roots throughout Italy and projects itself into the world, generating quality, relationships, business opportunities and creative paths.

At the center an everyday life to be rebuilt

Sixty years, therefore, of excellent products, but also of design, with man and nature at the center. “Events are often built around anniversaries to make them special and load them with meaning. Today there is no need. The pandemic and the international scenario require us to reflect deeply on the meaning of this sixtieth edition – said the president Maria Porro -. We are experimenting with new ways of working, traveling, living. An everyday life to be rebuilt that challenges us and pushes us to reinvent ourselves “.
An entire sector is working to provide answers on how the spaces we live in must adapt to changes and the 60th Salone del Mobile .Milano https://www.salonemilano.it/it is an opportunity to share them. An event where all the actors, companies, architects, the young people of the SaloneSatellite, the speakers of the thematic talks, can express a collective project.
27% of exhibitors come from abroad, while there are thousands of visitors from Europe, the United States and Canada, but also from Saudi Arabia, India, South East Asia and the Far East. “Thanks to the efforts we have made for the construction of the new digital platform – underlined Porro – even those who cannot be present in person will be able to participate and follow the event day by day”.

The demonstrations 2022

The 60th Salone del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition and Workplace3.0 offer varied design and aesthetic paths. The effort towards a green approach, respectful of the material and the environment, is transversal in every research. The recovery of the narrative value of the objects is clear, their ability to create an atmosphere, to arouse emotions and to allow the space to resonate with the people who live there.
This is also the biennial edition of EuroCucina, its collateral event FTK (Technology For the Kitchen) and the International Bathroom Exhibition.
S.Project is back, the exhibition dedicated to design products and solutions for the world of design, which highlights the most significant lines of contemporary research: the hybridization of contexts and spaces and the transition from the design of the single piece to that of the environment. Design but also emotional stimuli, such as the need to build a “nest space”, totally coordinated and capable of welcoming and comforting individuals, are its fundamental raison d’être.
