Lamiera 2022 edition, the international exhibition of machine tools for sheet metal deformation and related technologies, ended with a positive balance, from 18 to 21 May.
Promoted by Ucimu-Sistemi Per Produrre, which brings together the Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots and automation, and organized by Ceu-Centro Esposizioni Ucimu, the event is back on stage after 3 years, postponed by 12 months due to the pandemic.
Over 19,000 registered entrances at the turnstiles in the 4 days of Lamiera 2022 edition. In addition to the total number, higher than expected, it is the quality of the visits that distinguishes the audience of operators who took part in the Milanese event. Most of the exhibitors, interviewed at the stands, in fact reported the presence of qualified operators and visits oriented to purchase intentions.
Compared to the total number of visitors present, 12% came from abroad or represented about 60 countries.
Great interest from students
With this result, despite the situation of uncertainty, Lamiera 2022 edition was confirmed as the reference event in Italy for the sheet metal working sector. The protagonists of the exhibition were 365 companies, whose stands were set up in halls 13 and 15 for a total exhibition area of over 40,000 square meters.
The presence of qualified foreign operators was also ensured by the 30 delegates of the mission which saw the arrival of qualified end users and journalists from Brazil, France, India, Poland, Romania, Turkey and the United States, organized by UCIMU in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Ice-Agency.
Also good on the press front with over 100 accredited journalists. More than 700, on the other hand, were the students who visited Lamiera 2022 edition https://www.lamiera.net/it/homepage/ and who went to Ucimu Academy, the area dedicated to them. With the aim of enhancing the presence of young people at the event and guaranteeing exhibitors the proper conduct of business activities, the organizers have focused on guided tours by the association’s tutors. To these were added the free visits, conducted by the teachers of the schools.
The more than 30 meetings hosted by LaMiaLamiera, an arena set up in Hall 13, saw the participation of about 700 operators. To these were added the more than 400 connections of remote users who followed the speeches in streaming on the sheet metal.net site.
