Lamiera 2022 edition will open from 18 to 21 May at fieramilano Rho, the international exhibition of machine tools for sheet metal deformation and related technologies.
Promoted by Ucimu-Sistemi Per Produrre, an association that brings together the Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots and automation, the event is organized by Ceu-Centro Esposizioni Ucimu and returns after three years, having been postponed for twelve months due to the pandemic.
This is therefore the first major trade fair event dedicated to the sector since the beginning of the emergency, and also for this reason the event has attracted great interest from exhibitors and visitors.

Lamiera 2022 edition: focus on the 4.0 approach

There are over 350 companies present, 40,000 square meters of occupied area and two pavilions, 13 and 15, completely set up for the event.
All the technologies for sheet metal processing and deformation will be exhibited on stage, subject to important digital upgrades. The 4.0 approach is the real protagonist of this edition, thanks to which several visitors will also arrive from abroad, as confirmed by the pre-registration data.
To date, in fact, 5% of pre-registered visitors come from across the border. Sixty-four countries represented both European – such as Bulgaria, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland – and non-European countries, such as Turkey, Brazil, USA., India, interesting presences from the South America (in addition to Brazil, also Argentina, Bolivia, Venezuela) and from North Africa (Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt).
The official opening of Lamiera 2022 edition https://www.lamiera.net will take place on Wednesday 18 May at 10.30 with the inaugural ceremony. Barbara Colombo, president of Ucimu-Sistemi Per Produrre, Alfredo Mariotti, director of the association, Sergio Savaresi, professor at the Milan Polytechnic will speak. The meeting will host the round table on “The sheet metal sector beyond transition 4.0: the value of information” which, moderated by Ezio Zibetti, Tecnolamiera, will compare Walter Fontana, president of Fontana Group, Andrea Zanetti, operational director of production, quality, information and management systems, Cimolai, Alfonso Zoia, Head of Industrial Engineering, Haier Europe, representing some of the main market sectors for sheet metal forming machines and technologies.
On the occasion of the meeting, the new data relating to the deformation sector which occupies the top of the world rankings in the sector will also be illustrated.
