The main international event dedicated to leather goods and fashion accessories, this week Mipel 122 announced the new dates for an even smarter and more productive exhibition. The event will take place as usual at Fieramilano Rho from 18 to 20 September.
There are still several months to go, but the organizers are already looking forward to a new edition of the event, created with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the ICE Agency and the patronage of the Municipality of Milan.

The numbers of the last edition

After the success of the previous edition and despite the international situation, the Milanese event is already “warming up” the engines. And it does so by condensing its appointments into 3 days, a reorganization and rethinking that meet the needs of the “new normal” dictated by buyers and associated companies. All this, for a constant efficiency in terms of timing, expenses and productivity.
Mipel 122 therefore remains a fixed point for professionals. This was demonstrated by the success of the last edition and the other events dedicated to fashion and accessories Micam, The One Milano and Homi. Over five days of exhibition, the attendance was 29,468, equally divided between Italy and abroad and the exhibition offer of over 1400 brands. The program of events was also important, which covered increasingly topical issues such as digitization, metaverse and new ways of doing retail and systems.

A gradual return to normal

“Despite the war that broke out a few days before, which led to the absence of many neighboring operators and the important post-covid repercussions, we were really enthusiastic about the latest edition of Mipel 121 – is the comment of Franco Gabbrielli, president of Assopellettieri, who in Confindustria represents the leather goods companies and organizer of Mipel -. For Mipel 122 www.mipel.com we expect the return of traffic from the Far-East and an important turnaround in view of the gradual return to normality. The reduction of the event to 3 days is the result of careful reflection and analysis. Together with our colleagues from Micam and TheOne we tried to better interpret the signals around us. Optimize entrances, leave more space for entrepreneurs, work in a smart and concentrated way so as to be able to offer even more networking opportunities: these are our goals, always with a view to creating a system and giving voice to the excellence of Made in Italy “.
