At Fieramilano Rho closed the 50th Mido in a climate of optimism, the three-day event – from 30 April to 2 May – dedicated to the world of eyewear, with a result that went beyond the organizers’ expectations.
Many news and experiences offered during the 50th edition of the event, which brought fashion back to the rank of protagonist and relaunched the business of the sector.

The president Giovanni Vitaloni commented: “The balance is certainly positive because the 22,000 attendees were of quality, motivated by the desire to do business, challenging the adversities of this period. We have confirmed our ability to be a point of reference in the sector, consolidating the role of the fair in creating business and ideas. We have had excellent feedback from exhibitors and visitors on the commercial exchanges made at the 50th Mido: the sector restarts from here. The fair must be experienced in presence, companies are the absolute protagonists of this very strategic moment for eyewear at an international level but also for the entire economy of our country “.

Appointment to 2023

The more than 660 exhibiting companies from 45 countries – distributed in 5 pavilions and 8 exhibition areas – met visitors from over 50 countries. These include a lot of Europe, in particular France, Spain, Germany, Great Britain, Portugal, Greece, the Netherlands, Switzerland. Without forgetting the United States, Israel, Brazil, India, Tunisia, Iran, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.
Online participation through the B2B platform is also important, involving all those who were unable to attend the live event. The social profiles of 50th Mido https://www.mido.com/ animated the event pages with over 10,000 content shared between posts and stories, surpassing one million impressions.
This year, Mido TV also produced 77 videos broadcast live on the Youtube channel, recording a total of 350,000 reproductions.
Meanwhile, the date of the next event, scheduled for next year, from 4 to 6 February, also at Fiera Milano Rho, was known.
