After the success of last year’s digital edition, BIT 2022 edition returns to fieramilanocity from Sunday 10 to Tuesday 12 April. Mondays and Tuesdays reserved for operators. As expected, it will be an authentic “world tour in three days” which will allow operators to deepen their knowledge of destinations and players and develop business opportunities.
Also this year the aftermath of the pandemic and international uncertainties lead to rediscovering proximity holidays in the open air. Location in the green, away from the crowds, between art, tradition, good food and relaxation.
Many Regions will bring their slow and sustainable proposals to BIT 2022 edition. To date they have confirmed Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Molise, Piedmont, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, Tuscany, Umbria and Veneto.
There will also be many organizations to promote local or regional tourism. Such as the Italian Historic Houses Association or the Arena di Verona Foundation, as well as numerous Municipalities, Provinces and Chambers of Commerce.
Great commitment also by local authorities and other public-private actors which at BIT 2022 edition will be supported by Enit, the National Tourism Agency, which promotes the beauty of Italy in the world.

Innovation and sustainability are the keywords

The leitmotif of this edition is confirmed by innovation and sustainability, also for what concerns the international offer. From parks and naturalistic experiences of our European neighbors to eco-sustainable resorts in the Caribbean, Maldives, Malaysia, Mauritius, Thailand. From excursions to Egypt, Jordan, India, Iran to socially responsible holidays in Brazil or Chile.
For the relaunch of the sector there will be the ASTOI Village, a wide-ranging project which, for the first time together, will host up to 20 associated tour operators. Among these Alpitour, Alidays, Futura Vacanze, Guiness Travel, Ota Viaggi, Viaggi del Mappamondo.
Also present at BIT 2022 edition www.bit.fieramilano.it are numerous other tour operators and networks, from historical names – Gattinoni, Nicolaus, Uvet or Welcome Travel – to emerging realities such as Omega Viaggi and Shiruq Viaggi.
In total there are 893 exhibitors, of which 12% from 31 European and non-European countries, who, thanks to the scouting activity of Fiera Milano, will be able to count on the presence at the fair of the main Italian distribution companies for business meetings. In addition to this, a hosting program will be active that will bring profiled buyers from 47 countries representing all the most relevant types to Milan. In particular from Europe (36%) and North America (16%), as well as from Central and South America, the Middle East and Africa.
