After two years of absence, Torino Comics 2022 will open its doors again from 10 to 12 June at the Lingotto Fiere, for the XXVI edition.
The event, organized by Just for fun in a joint venture with GL events Italia, attracts fans of comics, manga, anime, cinema, games, esports, videogames and the inevitable cosplayers from all over Italy to the capital.
The event will take place in pavilions 2 and 3 (plus external areas), for a total of 50,000 square meters.
Five thematic areas
As always, Torino Comics 2022, dedicated this year to “We believe in magic”, is divided into five sections. The Comics area, with the Italian protagonists of the world of comics, personalized sketches and drawings, conferences and meetings; in the Cosplay area, international competitions, great guests, karaoke and karacosplay, thematic workshops. In Content Creator, youtuber, tiktoker, and streamer will meet fans with meet & greet and entertainment events; Games, Esport and Videogames, with the national finals of the tournaments of the most important titles on the market, role-playing, card and board games, live demonstrations and the presence of the major Italian publishers in the sector. Finally, the Cinema, Music & Live area, which will host actors, voice actors, characters from the big screen and streaming platforms, as well as a space dedicated to entertainment with performances and live shows.
The magic theme of the 2022 edition
In a world and in a complex and turbulent historical period, Torino Comics 2022 www.torinocomics.com proposes itself as a place where it is still possible to dream.
This is why the 2022 edition is dedicated to magic, transforming itself into a hymn of hope and joy to fly with fantasy and imagination.
On the occasion of this special edition, a collaboration was therefore activated with two of the most significant realities of the territory in the magical field, namely Masters of Magic and the Mago Sales Foundation.
The first is the leading engagement company in the production of events that uses magical art as a language to tell emotions. During the festival at Lingotto Fiere, he will set up a school of magic, inspired by Harry Potter.
The Mago Sales Foundation is the non-profit organization founded by Don Silvio Mantelli, alias Mago Sales, a priest who, through sleight of hand, distributes smiles and solidarity to thousands of children in more than 25 countries. At Torino Comics 2022 Mago Sale will distribute wonder and amazement to all children with two magic shows. The collaboration also extends to the Museum of Magic in Cherasco, an offshoot of the Mago Sales Foundation. In fact, a special exhibition will be set up at Lingotto Fiere with a selection of the most evocative objects of the Museum.
