The 48th Nauticsud edition took place from 12 to 20 February at the Mostra d’Oltremare. The international exhibition dedicated to the nautical supply chain presented several world previews and innovations that related to boats and engines, from objects to accessories and services.
There was no lack of organizational innovations such as the new route, with double access to the fair from piazzale Tecchio and viale Kennedy, and the new layout in the outdoor spaces of viale delle 28 Fontane.
Fifty thousand square meters of exhibition space, which can be visited during the nine days of the event, which offered a complete overview of the supply chain with the major players in the sector not only of productivity, but also of dealers and retailers, marine engines, accessories and services.

The numbers of the 2022 edition

The conclusive data of the 48th Nauticsud edition highlight the success of this event, organized by the Italian Nautical Industry Association and dedicated to the entire production sector.
The + 30% of sales made at the fair and + 28% of visitors, compared to the last edition held in 2020, show the value of this event which in recent years has driven the exhibition segment of the MdO and which this year records negotiations for almost 13 million euros in turnover.
The protagonists of the sales were the inflatable boats. Inflatables – from the smallest to the largest from 10 meters upwards – proved to be the target of visitors to the point of estimating 50% of the final sales made.
The remainder of the approximately 13 million turnover recorded during the event is divided into the production segment of boats, motorboats and small yachts, and the goiters, which have always been the leader among requests thanks to the transition from displacement hull to planing, which allows the goiters greater speeds of cruise up to 25/28 knots.

The managing director Maria Caputo commented on the results: “We are certainly satisfied with this edition. The + 28% of visitors compared to 2020 is an important milestone for the recovery of Nauticsud after the pandemic break. As we are of the collaboration with Afina, which has allowed us to relaunch and considerably exponential growth of the boat show. Therefore, for the next few years we are already evaluating numerous innovations also linked to an increase in exhibition spaces, thus favoring the offer to exhibitors who want to participate “.
