2022 Italy Food & Wine Travel will have the Fico Eataly World park, dedicated to “food experiences”, as the Bolognese location for the event. The wine and food tourism exchange, which will take place from 28 April to 1 May, is dedicated to the promotion and marketing of tourism operators in the sector (accommodation facilities, hotels, wine resorts, wineries, restaurants, agritourisms, tour operators, incoming agencies, etc).
Food and wine tourism has become one of the main trends in Italian tourism. This is also confirmed by the statistics, according to which food and wine is the first attraction to Italy, so much so that it alone constitutes a real “tourist destination”.
Today almost 7 out of 10 tourists are interested in experiences that include local food and wine specialties. From this point of view, wine tourism and food and wine tourism become important ambassadors also for the promotion of local specialties and the territories in which they develop.
