Starting from February 3rd, registrations at Mido and 2022 were opened https://www.mido.com/en. In fact, on the site, visitors to the international eyewear show – buyers, designers, entrepreneurs, opticians, ophthalmologists, journalists and all operators in the eyewear industry – will be able to register for the edition scheduled from 30 April to 2 May at Fieramilano Rho.
With the opening of registrations, the event is preparing for the maximum potential of international traffic.
And it is precisely from the foreign exhibitors that the organizers are receiving the positive responses they needed, as the president of the show, Giovanni Vitaloni, recalled in a press release. “The change of dates was a delicate and courageous choice to continue to maintain the reference appointment in the sector at an international level. A choice that is now proving to be the appropriate one because many exhibitors and buyers from all over the world are signing up for the April event. There is a greater sense of security among the operators in the sector, there is an atmosphere of optimism and great enthusiasm in anticipation of Mido and 2022, all ready to participate in the presence “.
The numbers of the sector are positive
A further sign of confidence also comes from the numbers of the sector, released in December at the Anfao assembly, which brings together the Italian manufacturers of optical items. In the last nine months of 2021, the data showed an improvement compared to the expectations of the first part. of the year and a return to the values of 2019.
In particular, the recovery is mainly driven by prescription frames for exports and ophthalmic lenses in the domestic market, while for exports all the main reference countries for Italian eyewear are showing a recovery.
“The companies in our sector have restarted and look to the next event as an unmissable opportunity to finally meet national and international customers physically and present the collections, which will speak above all of durability, research, sustainability and quality. It is no longer the time for trying and wasting. There is a need for concreteness and at Mido and 2022 we are ready to respond to their need “, concluded Giovanni Vitaloni.
