Initially scheduled from 24 to 26 February, the first edition of Mecfor 2022 https://www.mecforparma.it/, will be repositioned from 24 to 26 May in the Parma exhibition center. A shift desired by the organizers to offer greater safety to visitors and exhibitors.
The mechanical & subcontracting fair will have over 24,000 square meters of the exhibition center at its disposal. The event is organized by Fiere di Parma, the historic organizer of the Subcontracting Exhibition, dedicated to the outsourcing of activities in the field of mechanics, but also electronics, plastics and more. Along with Fiere di Parma also Ceu – Centro Esposizioni Ucimu, organizer of the main international machine tool and metalworking fairs such as Bimu and Lamiera.
Organized as a joint venture between the partners, Mecfor 2022 will combine in an innovative way Subfornitura, Revamping and Turning, sections corresponding to as many independent salons and perfectly synchronous with the market demand for production flexibility, innovative machinery that meets environmental sustainability criteria. Three sections and two different and synergistic industrial visions, that of the manufacturing industry on the one hand and third party processing on the other.
Of particular interest Revamping. In this area it will be shown how machine tools can, if properly retrofitted, have a second life. Machines will be exhibited that are not only economically convenient, but also of standard quality required by Industry 4.0.
Mecfor 2022 will complement the exhibition of companies in the sector with a conference featuring two events.
The first will be the opening conference “Revamping in the context of transition 4.0” on 24 May with a focus on the revamping of machine tools. That is the reconditioning of machine tools and its evolution towards the mission indicated by transition 4.0.
The second, on 25 May, entitled “Subcontracting and Sustainability” on sustainability understood as a new necessary condition for subcontracting in the mechanical sectors. Structured as a round table, it will see the presence of experts and representatives of mechanical and subcontracting companies.
