Despite the economic and health scenarios still characterized by uncertainty, the 34th Milano Unica was held regularly in presence at Fiera Milano Rho from 1 to 2 February. The event presented the collections of high-end fabrics and accessories for men, women and children for next Spring / Summer 2023.
There was a good presence of exhibitors, up (+ 27%) compared to the previous edition of July 2021, traditionally more attended. In fact, 343 exhibitors, including 291 Italians (+ 30%) and 52 foreigners (+ 13%), who, with their participation, contributed to demonstrating their confidence in the future of a strategic sector of Made in Italy manufacturing.

During the opening ceremony of the 34th Milano Unica, the president Alessandro Barberis Canonico focused on the difficulties experienced by the sector during 2021. “The weak trend of our exports, especially on the traditional, major outlet markets, has allowed us to recover only in part the negative results of 2020, despite the robust overall growth of the Italian economy and industry and the recovery of international trade. The appointments at the fair are back

The 34th Milano Unica has returned to develop over three pavilions, which hosted the proposals of Ideabiella, Shirt Avenue and Moda In, as well as the Special Areas and Innovation Area, with the return of 5 exhibitors to the Korea Observatory and 12 companies in the Japan area Observatory.
From the main entrance, customers and visitors immersed themselves in the area dedicated to MU Trends & Sustainability, dedicated to proposals for sustainable materials. The parterre, the stands with the proposals of the designers and the MU Info & Style studios, as well as the special projects of Woolmark, Filo, Linen Dream Lab and the precious presence of the faithful partners of Milano Unica, Banca Sella and Lauretana completed.
This year the appointment with Back to School is also back, with the contribution of Brunello Cucinelli who met the students of the main fashion and costume schools.
Also in this edition, the marketplace platform was available, e-MilanoUnicaConnect, a commercial and remote communication tool, which plays a complementary but not a substitute role, as mentioned by the general manager of Milano Unica, Massimo Mosiello.
