The 2022 appointment with Pitti Uomo, edition number 101, will be at the Fortezza da Basso from 11 to 13 January 2022.
Reserved exclusively for specialized buyers, Pitti Immagine Uomo is aimed in particular at boutiques, online stores, buying offices, distributors and suppliers in the clothing sector interested in the world of fashion, who want to convert this experience into new opportunities for commercial negotiations.
After returning to the catwalk, albeit in a reduced edition for exhibitors, last July, the trade fair, which will bring the main names in contemporary menswear and lifestyle to Florence, has already announced the salon’s guest of honor for men’s collections for winter 2022

Ann Demeulemeester guest of honor

This is the Belgian Ann Demeulemeester, a leading exponent of the famous Antwerp School who has offered various talents to world fashion in recent years, always present at the prêt-à-porter fashion shows in Paris.

During the event in the Tuscan capital, the designer will celebrate her 40 years of fashion under the sign of courage and stylistic coherence. Because she Demeulemeester has never let herself be “enchanted”, as the fashion experts recall, by the glitter and the glitz, by the ostentatious glamor and by the spasmodic search for extravagance, but she has remained faithful to a romantic and rigorous image of fashion.

After graduating from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in 1981, Ann Demeulemeester has participated with her first collections in fashion competitions and events since 1982.
In 1987 she launched her own label and first commercial collection together with creative partner Patrick Robyn. In 2013 she left her label and since then she has experimented with a variety of new expressive formats.
In 2020 the Ann Demeulemeester brand was bought by the Milanese entrepreneur and talent scouter Claudio Antonioli. The main objective is to reposition the brand in the luxury sector, remaining faithful to his image.
