After the Pitti week held in an extraordinary way from 28 June to 2 July, the Florentine trade fair company has decided that the winter events of Pitti immagine 2022 edition, dedicated to men and children, will also be merged.
The two salons will therefore be staged in a unique three-day event – from 11 to 13 January 2022 – in the Florentine location Fortezza da Basso.
A change compared to what was announced at the end of the appointments dedicated to the Spring-Summer 2022 collections, which instead included the traditional four days of Pitti Uomo from 11 to 14 January, to then move on to the event dedicated to junior fashion the following week.
A novelty probably motivated by the evolution of the scenario linked to the health emergency and the repercussions on international travel.
Pitti Immagine Uomo and Pitti Immagine Bimbo will therefore take place simultaneously to make known news and upcoming trends to international and non-international guests, to emerging and established brands.
There are many scheduled events and special participations, which will project exhibitors and visitors at the center of the fashion scene, in an atmosphere full of stimuli and suggestions for the next season.
As pointed out by the CEO Pitti immagine 2022 edition, Raffaello Napoleone: “The entire organizational structure is working to open the show in complete safety, an attention that was greatly appreciated by visitors last summer, especially by those who came from abroad, a real competitive factor in this phase, and with a renewed exhibition format but always designed on the same characteristics of selection, curatorship and communicative impact which, together with the program of special events, have made Pitti Uomo the world reference point for men’s fashion and lifestyle. Therefore we also attribute a symbolic value to this 101 edition. The companies are responding with enthusiasm, they do not hide the difficulties but at the same time they express a great energy, a firm desire to return to represent themselves with their best qualities. We will have numbers in clear growth compared to the last edition, both in terms of exhibitors and buyers, from Italy and Europe. The Asian presence will still be limited, while North America, the Middle East and Russia will respond well in terms of the most important presences ”.
