Mido 2022 edition is ready to open its doors from 12 to 14 February at fieramilano Rho. To date, about 600 exhibitors have confirmed their presence at the eyewear show. Of these 350 are foreigners, arriving mainly from Europe – in particular France, Germany, Spain and the UK – and the United States.
President Giovanni Vitaloni said: “The promotion of a product such as eyewear, be it prescription or sunglasses, needs interaction and Mido 2022 edition aims to reactivate the exchange between people. The digital tool that we experimented with in 2021 with the first Digital Edition, which we are proposing again this year, is certainly useful for managing contacts but not sufficient in terms of business “.
The next edition of the event will also be an opportunity to share the reflections generated by the pandemic, expressed in solutions, innovations and products that look ahead and mark a break with “the world before”.
Precisely in this sense, in the global eyewear sector there has been an acceleration in the customization of products and a greater sensitivity to sustainability, environmental and social.

Precisely linked to the theme of sustainability, the 1st edition of “Stand Up For Green” will be held at Mido 2022 edition, recognition that will be given to those stands capable of distinguishing themselves for their attention to the environment. For example, using reusable modules, recycled materials or raw materials with low environmental impact.
The winners of the prize will be announced on Saturday 12 February, during the first opening day of the fair.
The “BeStore Award” was confirmed again this year, dedicated to optical centers around the world that stand out for their shopping experience and for offering customer services.
After the success of the first edition, “Your BeStore” is also back, a digital competition that rewards the best optical center decreed by users of the Mido 2022 platform | Digital edition.
