FuturPera 2021 will be held in the halls of Ferrara Fiere Congressi, from 2 to 4 December, dates already identified before the health emergency.
The exhibition center will, for the first time, also be the organizer of the international pear fair, again in collaboration with the company Futurpera and OI Pera (Pera Interprofessional Organization).
As underlined by the president of Ferrara Fiere Congressi, Andrea Moretti: “We have chosen to organize the fair directly, naturally in collaboration with those who remain the two privileged partners, because in Ferrara periculture is essential, not only for the agricultural economy, but also for the stability of the economic and social fabric, and an event dedicated to the pear supply chain could certainly not be missing from our trade fair calendar. We believe in FuturPera, we believe it will be an important edition that will satisfy the public and in recent months we have also worked hard to transform the necessary safety restrictions into better access paths for both operators and the public. “This edition too. presents itself as an event of great interest for the exhibition proposal that sees the presence of companies from all sectors of the supply chain (variety research, nursery, agrochemicals and pesticides, production, harvest and post-harvest, agricultural mechanization, logistics, packaging, marketing of product and import-export).
The calendar of conferences and technical meetings is also important, first of all the World Pear Forum

And, as always, the supply chain will be the real protagonist of the event, with producers who have experienced difficult years from a production point of view and who will have a meeting point in FuturPera 2021, also from a technical and commercial point of view, as Albano Bergami explains. , member of the OI Pera Coordination Committee and member of the Futurpera board of directors.
“The danger sector has come out of three very difficult years from a production point of view, because the serious damage caused by the Asian bedbug and brown spot were added to those resulting from the spring frosts in 2020 and 2021 which caused and will cause production drops and therefore a significant decrease in product suitable for marketing – explains the vice president of OI Pera-. The crisis is there, it cannot be denied, but the production area of the Center-North remains the first in Europe for cultivated hectares and varietal peculiarities and a sector of excellence like this deserves a strong relaunching action. At FuturPera 2021 we want to take stock to understand where we are and give a clear perspective to the sector, through the proposals of the most important operators in the sector and above all with a 360-degree update on the research and experimentation activities implemented in Italy and in Europe. “.
