MIG 2021 is preparing for the inauguration on November 28 at the Longarone (Bl) exhibition center, where it will end on December 1. At the 61st international ice cream exhibition, the air you breathe, according to what was underlined during the presentation press conference on 25 November, is quite positive.
President Gian Angelo Bellati: “Making predictions is now premature but we are proud of the fact that it will be the first show dedicated to artisanal gelato. I do not overlook the fact that an entire area has been equipped to comply with the rules. We focus a lot on safety considering that we could have operators from abroad and then there will be consultancy for the Italian and German market for the Green revolution. The important aspect is that the MIG 2021 must also open up to other sectors related to ice cream, such as pastry and chocolate after the coffee experiment. The support of Roberto Padrin and the members of the fair and the associations who are engaging in such a difficult time and Dario Olivier, a real locomotive for the commitment that allowed the event to reach its 61st edition, is important”.

At the head of the entire organization of MIG 2021 Dario Olivier who recalled the particularity of this edition. “It will be a green, plastic free edition; we will not admit anything that is disposable plastic at the fair because we have set ourselves the goal of protecting the environment. The same attention is paid to machinery that allows low CO2 emissions. Unfortunately, the German situation does not allow the presence of their technicians, but thanks to the online we will always be able to give support in real time”.

Three cornerstones of the relaunch of this historic fair, demonstrating how the tools proposed meet the needs of the market and to bring together supply and demand in an innovative and business-friendly context.
The first novelty concerns the distinction of the exhibition spaces between the sector of professionals and the sector open to the public. This not only to avoid crowds, but also to allow exhibiting companies to work in a less chaotic environment and to make the most of the time available to peacefully conclude more contracts.
But above all MIG 2021 wants to be an event that will change the concept of sustainability in the ice cream parlor.
The fair will be a real showcase of the future in ice cream parlors: no single-use plastic, use of only natural materials in the stands, traceability of ingredients and certified products, presentation of modern machinery, which reduce energy and water consumption as well as C02 emissions.
In addition to the exhibition part, there is a program of targeted consultancy by technicians and experts from German and Italy, for information to ice cream makers on state subsidies for investments in ice cream parlors.

Finally, among the exhibitors, several new entries of companies, which are already active in the international markets, but had not yet been seen at the trade fairs to date.
