
On 25 November at Eicma 2021 the eagerly awaited “One More Lap” was held at the MotoLive Arena, a Yamaha event during which Valentino Rossi completed his last lap in the company of his fans.
The international two-wheeler exhibition, scheduled to run until Sunday 28 November at Fieramilano Rho, saw thousands of fans greet Valentino Rossi during a live meeting lasting over an hour and a half.
Federica Masolin, host of the event and well-known from Sky Sport, accompanied the champion on a 16-year journey, that is the number of years spent by Rossi in Yamaha, introducing the 16 most exciting moments of the winning combination.
Surrounded by Valentino’s four Yamaha YZR-M1 World Champions, she welcomed the rider on a special Yamaha YZF-M1 60th anniversary.
Also Linus, personal friend and Artistic Director of Radio Deejay, accompanied Rossi on his journey through the emotions of an unrepeatable career. Together with him, the champion told anecdotes and curiosities, a behind the scenes that tore nostalgic smiles on the listeners’ faces.
Also thanking and saying goodbye was Lin Jarvis, managing director of Yamaha Motor Racing, who crowned his personal thanks with the arrival on stage of a small Yamaha PW50 “pink” # 46 for Rossi’s future daughter.
At the end of the day, Yamaha Motor celebrated its rider by giving him a Yamaha YZF-R1 VR46 special livery. And it is precisely with this bike that Valentino Rossi will continue to train on the saddle.
