On 26 July in Genoa the edition of the Salone Nautico 2021 was officially presented, from 16 to 21 September.
The sold out in terms of membership by national and international exhibitors is also the result of the authority and credibility acquired over the years.
Particular importance also derives from last year’s edition, the only sector event organized in presence and safety in Europe in 2020 during the pandemic period.
The layout of the Salone Nautico 2021 this year re-proposes the proven multi-specialist format that will spread over an area of over 200,000 square meters, with 85% of the outdoor areas, where over 1,000 boats will be housed.
The brands present also touched the number of 1,000. Among the confirmed exhibitors the main Italian and foreign shipyards, which participated last year. They were welcomed by a layout transformed by the works for the construction of the new Levante waterfront which began in October 2020, which will be completed in 2023 to ensure 200 more berths and a renovated sports hall.
Carla Demaria, CEO I Saloni Nautici: «This edition will once again be different from the previous ones, it has been like this for 60 years, because the event adapts to the context and reacts by seizing opportunities in favorable moments and optimizing costs and resources in less favorable ones. In its 60-year history, the Genoa Salone Nautico has shown its resilience, especially when it has had to face extraordinary and extremely complex situations such as the collapse of the Morandi Bridge and the pandemic. The performance of the last edition, the only sector event organized in Europe, gave the Show a very high reputation and positioning at an international level. This element, together with an excellent market, the imposing waterfront project by Renzo Piano, which will change the paradigm of the organization of the Salone Nautico 2021 and a ten-year time horizon thanks to the agreement with the institutions signed last year, will allow this 61st edition and then above all to those to follow, to conquer world leadership in the panorama of sector events ».
On the international front, the communication campaign of the Salone Nautico was launched, included in the Promotion Plan of Made in Italy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and made operational by ICE Agenzia, in support of the internationalization of companies. The promotional activities of Made in Italy include, in addition to the presence in the most qualified foreign magazines in the sector, a digital communication plan aimed at strategic countries and the incoming project that every year brings the most important operators in the sector to Genoa, journalists. foreign and international buyers.
