On 24 May the 39th edition of Cersaie was among the topics discussed during the meeting between the Presidency Council of Confindustria Ceramica and Stefano Bonaccini, President of the Emilia Romagna Region, and the Councilor for Economic Development and Green Economy, Work and Training Vincenzo Glue.
The agenda also covered the infrastructure system and the energy transition.
The President of Confindustria Ceramica, Giovanni Savorani, illustrated the programs and news relating to the September edition of the Bologna fair, where the return in the presence of visitors will be one of the fundamental aspects.
Particular attention, in this sense, will be paid to the issue of the safe presence of operators, for which it was agreed to follow up on specific actions.
Vincenzo Colla recalled: “The restart in the presence and in complete safety of the 39th edition of Cersaie represents excellent news and an injection of confidence for the entire exhibition sector, heavily affected by more than a year of pandemic, a major international fair that marks the fair renaissance in Emilia-Romagna and in the country.
Finally, all the conditions are in place for events to start over again even in presence, naturally putting the protection of the health of operators and visitors first. There remains the need for help to support a trade fair sector that has lost 80% of its turnover, without counting the negative consequences on all related activities: the Fairs for Emilia-Romagna represent an international supply chain of great importance, a of the most important in the whole country, a showcase on the world that is able to multiply contacts and relationships and promote the value of our products and our excellence ».
The 2021 edition
39th edition of Cersaie will take place at the Bologna exhibition center from 27 September to 1 October and represents the most important international event for those involved in the design of surfaces, ceramics and other materials, and bathroom furnishings.
This is demonstrated by the more than 112,000 visitors, half of whom from all over the world, who visited the event in the last edition in attendance.
For 37 years, the event has therefore been the beating heart of the world of the ceramic industry and bathroom furnishings. For this reason, aware of the responsibility towards exhibitors and visitors, the organizing body is working to create a new exhibition format that is more engaging, but also inclusive and safe. An appointment where the excellences of world production in the field of surfaces, bathroom furnishings, design and planning will meet in a commercial hub that has no equal, where you can start doing business again.
