Pitti Immagine 2021 has confirmed the upcoming summer shows, which will return to take place in physical format in various locations in Florence.
The new calendar therefore provides that Pitti Immagine Filati, the 88th edition of the yarn and accessories show for knitwear, will take place from 28 to 30 June at the Stazione Leopolda. Following, from 30 June to 2 July, the Pitti Immagine Uomo event in Fortezza da Basso, reserved for sector operators to present men’s clothing and accessories collections twice a year. At the same time and always in the Fortezza da Basso, the Pitti Immagine 2021 Bimbo salon, an international exhibition for clothing and accessories from 0 to 18, where childrenswear collections from Italian and foreign brands and buyers and visitors from all over the world are expected.
“We are aware of the responsibilities that, returning first to the physical format of fairs, we have towards the entire fashion sector and institutions and that is why we are working tirelessly to organize the shows with the maximum possible participation of exhibitors, buyers and journalists – underlined the president of Pitti Immagine 2021, Claudio Marenzi -. In terms of quality and liveliness we will live up to the Pitti standard and the expectations of the companies and, thinking of Pitti Uomo, it will be a 100th edition in the name of concreteness and pride “.
Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine 2021: «The new dates of the shows are also the result of an in-depth comparison with other international organizations, in order to avoid overlapping and build a calendar with a market logic. We will also enhance the Fortezza da Basso for the program of events, where the exhibitors themselves will be protagonists, as well as a selection of special projects dedicated to fashion research, new generations and the theme of sustainability. As for Filati, we confirm the headquarters of Stazione Leopolda, very suitable for an innovative and sustainable setting, the right combination for an extra ordinary period from all points of view ».
“The principles that guide the entire organization are safety, rationalization and integration. To protect everyone’s health, we will monitor and manage each phase of the process, from the journey to the arrival in the city, from access to the exhibition sites to the path in the pavilions and use of the services. The rationalization concerns the choice of keeping in the same days in the Fortezza Uomo and Bimbo, which we think can benefit from contemporaneity. The shift between the end of June and the beginning of July of the dates of the fashion shows will give companies time to recalibrate their plans and gain an additional two weeks for health stabilization. Finally, the entire summer cycle will be characterized by a strong integration between the physical and digital format “, is the comment by Agostino Poletto, general manager of Pitti Immagine 2021.
