Introduced on the 18th of February, Xylexpo 2020 (www.xylexpo.com), biannual appointment of technologies and of furniture and wood , is preparing for the appointment that will be from the 26th to the 29th in May at FieraMilano-Rho.
The opening conference started with a round table that involved Paolo Borgio of FieraMilano, Massimo Goldoni, president of the committee that reunites all the manifestations that report to Confindustria, and Luigi De Vito, vice-president of Eumabois, European federation of the sisters associations of Acimall.
The three speeches offered not only different points of view on Xylexpo 2020 but also a conversation about the role that a fair should have in a always more and more digital market. Starting from this they reinforced the idea that there’s the need of high quality exhibitions that let the people mett, look at each others and shake their hands.
Lorenzo Primultini, president of Acimall and of Xylexpo, reminded the questions that characterize this season – Brexit, Coronavirus and an international conflicts – and the possible effects that they can have in short and medium term. Primultini underlined that “Xylexpo 2020 is an exhibition organized by Acimall, an industrial no profit association, that has the goal to promote the sector, create new business possibilities for the national enterprises and for all the worldwide companies that engage in the Italian market”.
The 2018 edition of Xylexpo closed with 37 thousand entrances, 17.781 of these professional operators, +2.1% from 2016. 5.032 of these came from abroad, the 28.3% of the total. 330 companies registered to Xylexpo 2020 on the 30th of January, the 30% are foreign, and they will occupy a 29 thousand square meters surface. This year Xylexpo 2020 is back to have 3 pavilions, in order to give to all the exposers the same flow of visitors.
Primultini confirmed the mode to access to Xylexpo2020: the ticket will cost 15 euros but it will be free for all the operators, if they pre-subscribe at www.xylexpo.com . During the opening conference of Xylexpo2020 the 4th edition of “Xylexpo Awards” has been confirmed, and this year there will be 3 sections: “Lavorazioni sul legno e il pannello” (tools included), “Finitura Verniciatura” (implants and materials) and for the first time “IoT e gestione dei processi industriali”.
