
At Pitti Immagine Filati, on 22 January at 6 p.m., at the Fortezza da Basso in the spaces of the Sala della Ronda, personal collections of eight international students of the First Level Master in knitwear, ceative knitwear design” (https://www.academmiacostumeemoda.it/offerta-formativa/-creative-knitwear-design/) by Accademia Costume & Moda di Roma.
Now in its third edition, sponsored and organized by Fondazione Pitti Immagine Discovery with Accademia Costume & Moda, Modateca Deanna, Enka and Max Mara Fashion Group, The project aims to bring out the talent of young designers and excellence in the knitwear sector.
The students will be able to show their personal collections, realized with a selection of fabrics and yarns of the knitted partners exhibiting at Pitti Immagine Filati 86, using natural raw materials and working with certified companies.
On the catwalk at Pitti Immagine Filati also the winners of the Industry projects: the contests started at the beginning of the academic year, for which the companies Diesel Brave Kid, Roberto Collina, Max Mara Fashion Group, Missoni and K-Way each presented their students with a creative brief to design a special capsule collection.
Andrea cavicchi, president of the Pitti Immagine Discovery Foundation, said: «The fashion show of the Master in Knitwear, Creative knitwear Design presented at Pitti Filati has become an unmissable event primarily because of the high quality that students express in their garments and creations.
We believe very much in this collaboration between the Foundation, Accademia Costume & Moda and Deanna Modateca, and we are convinced that Pitti Filati is the ideal setting for this presentation: expressing a strong desire for experimentation and fashion research, the desire to give the world of knitwear the value it deserves and, on all, the need to support young designers of the future, with an effective event and an exceptional audience like the one in the Fortezza».
