
The 77th edition of Eicma (www.eicma.it)- Esposizione Internazionale del Ciclo e Motociclo, has ended on the 10th of November at Fiera Milano Rho with an important growth of the visitors, almost 800 thousands, in the eight pavilions of the manifestation (in the last edition there were 6 pavilions). Thousands people to discover the news of the 1887 brands present at the manifestation, always with record numbers: +47,54% compared to 2018 and +10,29% compared to 2017. The 63,86% of the present companies was from other countries, representing 43 nations.
In the 77th edition of Eicma the expositive offer, for the first time, has been thought also for children, to whom “Eicma for kids” was dedicated. This initiative has given the chance to more than 1000 kids the emotion of trying for free motorbikes and bikes and the chance to learn the first information about street security.
The effect of “Moto rivoluzionario” – the theme of this 77th edition of Eicma- hasn’t ended with the days dedicated to the public (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Actually also the days dedicated to the operators had a great success (Tuesday and Wednesday). There has been more than 43.000 operators of the sector, 23.971 coming from abroad (55%). This data testifies the international attractive of Eicma and the strategic nature B2B of the manifestation.
In theme of communication: there were 4.053 journalists and 4.065 influencers and operators of communication with credits. The manifestation has been set up with modern digital services.
In a press note the president of Eicma praised not only the excellent job of the organizer structure and of exposers but he’s also underlined that “the year from the last edition has been very full, during which we made a lot of strategic investments that let us to increase the undoubtable value of our expositive event. It wasn’t easy, but after these emotional 6 days we can affirm that we are more attractive and more competitive and more and more important for the sector. We worked a lot to fill Eicma with many important news”.
A reference to all the communication activities and the achievement of the ISO 20121 certification that made the 77th edition of Eicma the first sustainable event of the sector. There have been also many actions for the digital relaunch with the Eicma website and app, the sale of tickets online and the innovative format of the opening ceremony.
