Inaugurated on 2nd October at Fieramilano Rho, the 97th edition of Lineapelle (https://www.lineapelle-fair.it/it will present the best of the Italian and international fashion & luxury industry, hosting the 2020/2021 winter collections of more than 1,270 exhibitors from 46 countries, and welcoming about 20,000 buyers from 114 countries. Nine delegations of operators from China, Korea, France, Japan, Russia, United Kingdom, Spain, United States, Sweden present Lineapelle 97. The event coincides with a complex phase, which sees the tanning industry slowing between 5% and 10% in partial 2019, compared to poor results for other exhibiting categories (accessories, components, fabrics and synthetic materials). While demand from leather goods brands maintains substantially satisfactory levels of demand, the overall economic picture for other customer products (footwear, automotive, furniture, clothing) shows strong global uncertainty. To relaunch, moreover, leather Lineapelle 97 launches the new worldwide communication campaign promoted by UNIC– Italian tanneries to promote and enhance the qualitative, green and avant-garde identity of Italian leather.
Focus on“emotional intelligence”
The stylistic proposal of leather lineage 97 for winter 2020/21 is inspired by “EQ”, English acronym of ”emotional quotient”, concept of “emotional intelligence” which is a point of equilibrium between the speed of technological evolution and the immediacy of human reactions, between rationality and pure instinct. From here the exhibitors of this edition of lineapelle have elaborated their samples; as well as the students of the main international fashion institutes for their formative projects, presented from 2 to 4 October at fieramilano Rho. At Lineapelle also the second edition of “Innovation Square”, which will project skin and materials in their near technological and disruptive future and which is articulated in the thematic areas New aesthetics, nanotechnologies, biotech, Customisation, wearable devices and Product Intelligence.
Space at the production cycle
Among the novelties of Lineapelle 97 the “The Leather (Re)cycling Exhibition”, dedicated to the identity of the tanning production cycle, divided into different levels of narration of the excellence of the Italian skin. The new space offers an analysis of the circularity of the process and presents six case histories focused on the recovery and transformation of the tanning and tanning wastes into new products and raw materials, located in the Venetian and Tuscan districts.
An exhibition in progressLinepelle is a project in constant movement and development, already projected to 2020.
