Closed on September 28th, Marmomac (www.marmomac.com) takes stock of the 54th edition of the reference event for the stone industry, with materials, machinery, technology and design, which took place in the exhibition district of Verona. With 69,000 operators from 154 countries, over 1,600 companies from 61 countries and an increase of one thousand visitors, equal to 62%, Marmomac 2019 confirms its vocation to internationality. The number of arrivals from the European Union has increased, particularly from Germany, France, Poland and Austria, and more and more qualified visitors from the United States, Iran and Brazil. Good also the interest from the market Italy with an increase of the national operators accredited. As emphasized by Maurizio Danese, president of Veronafiere: With this edition of Marmomac we have achieved all the objectives we had set. We have been able to stimulate the domestic market, enhancing the quality and the uniqueness of natural stone thanks to new training initiatives such as “meet the inspiration”, aimed in particular at interior designers and architects, and through our participation in the Network PNA-Natural Stone authentic. We then worked with the Ministry of Economic Development, Ice Agenzia and Confindustria Marmomacchine to consolidate the internationality through incoming and selected B2B meetings». 

The Marmomac system lands in China

Within Marmomac 2019, the interest in The Italian Stone Theatre, a pavilion dedicated to design, innovation and experimentation, was reconfirmed, which this year focused on the theme “Naturality”. «Important for the promotion of natural stone is in fact the contextualization of the product–, said Giovanni Mantovani, general manager of Veronafiere -. Marmomac, consistent with the evolution of the exhibition system, is increasingly a review able to provide solutions and services.
