From Thursday 4 July for 11 days the pavilions of the Fiera di Rimini will host the world’s largest sport dance event, SPORTDANCE.
Now in its twelfth edition, SPORTDANCE will open with an exceptional godmother, Milly Carlucci.
With her there will also be the winners of “Dancing with the stars” Sara Di Vaira and Lasse Matberg. The collaboration with the territory is strengthened, with the coincidence of the Pink Night. SPORTDANCE is one of the main sporting events taking place in Italy, capable of giving a real boost to the sports holiday, with an increasingly international flavor thanks to the WDSF Grand Slam Standard and Latin, the most important world competitions for Latin and standard dances. On 4th July, it starts right away: at the official opening, scheduled for 4 pm in the central hall of the fair, will be followed by the presentation of the new book by Milly Carlucci on the passion for dance: “Life is a dance. We are all dancing stars ”(Rai Libri, 2019). As always, then, it will be 11 days of entertainment, sports and much more. In fact, until Sunday, July 14, SPORTDANCE will guarantee the full range of athletes and emotions. The exhibition and the territory of Rimini will host over 35 thousand dancers from all over the world. These will battle in the Italian Dance Sport Championships of the Italian Dance Sport Federation, but also in international competitions. The WDSF Grand Slam Standard and Latin will also arrive in Rimini on 13th and 14th July. This is the most important world competition of Latin and standard dances. The best athletes in Italy and the world will meet in Rimini for truly unique days of competitions and shows. Great space will then be given as and more than ever to the Paralympic competitions, to which a competition day is dedicated. Among the innovations there are also some very trendy disciplines, such as Show Dance, Freestyle and Hip Hop. The Dance sport aims for the Olympics and after having been present at the Olympic Games in Argentina, the whole dance sport system is working to be present at the main competitions of the next edition. There will also be a commercial area dedicated to the sector, Dance Expo, with the best artisans and specialized merchants, always in the central hall of the Rimini Exhibition.
