Comitato Fiere industria: growth in an organic way

On FCI (Comitato Fiere Industria) opinion, 2019 is clearly emerging as a very positive year  for the sector of Italian fairs.

Despite the international turbulences, and a not particularly brilliant Italian economic context, our fairs are in excellent health.

Several analysts, after a 2018 of great growth (especially for foreign visitors), expected an important slowdown.

Luckily, the data about the first quarter of 2019, provided by Comitato Fiere Industria, reveal a different situation.

In spite of Italian visitors are fewer and fewer (probably due to economic stagnation), foreign visitors have increased of 4.39%.

Exhibitors also follow a similar trend: if Italians are almost unchanged, + 0.78%, foreign ones increase by over 3%.

The internationalization process of the Italian trade fair system is therefore going on regularly.

This is an extremely important factor: in a market that’s getting more and more globalized , the access to international markets is essential. In particular when the domestic market is living a period of economic slowdown.

The survey based on data offered by Comitato Fiere Industria reveals a positive trend.

In fact, more than half of the fairs hosted more events than in the previous period, while only the 22% registered a decrease. A similar percentage goes to those who have not registered changes.

The international economic uncertainty, and the growing tense situation worldwide , is an evident brake. Actually, we often observe attitudes of great prudence, dictated by the difficulty of reading the context.

The 34 business partners of Comitato Fiere Industria (supervisors for the organization of more than  50 events a year) have shown that they know how to deal with very complicated times.

And the results of 2018 undoubtedly testify that Italian fairs also know how to take advantage of the most positive periods. In fact in the last year there was      + 21.82% of foreign visitors, and + 4.71% of foreign exhibitors. The ability to attract and satisfy demanding customers is undoubtedly in the DNA of the members of Comitato Fiere Industria
