Versilia and Viareggio are ready to host the most glamorous event of the season: the third edition of Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous is coming. From 9th to 12th May, all the spotlights will be on the docks of Italy and Europe and on the walk in the area of the port, which will welcome visitors, sea lovers and sector operators. In a mirror of water of almost 50 thousand square meters, the boats will be positioned that will liven up a big party in the heart of the Tuscan nautical district, a lively and operational open-air factory. On stage the best of yachts and mega yachts of the Made in Italy shipbuilding industry and the excellence of the manufacturers of accessories and components for large boats. The quality of the exhibition offer, which confirms the numbers of the last edition, with an increase in the size of the boats present, is enriched by the numerous exhibitors from Tuscany. The entire district can count on a total production value of 2 billion euros for boating, equal to 50% of the national figure; to 30% of the yachts over 30 meters (vocation of the whole district) produced in the world and a foreign clientele of about 95% always in the superyacht sector. Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous enriches and improves its exhibition layout which, again this year, sees the confirmation of the Tender & Toys section and is completed with the new Luxury Tenders & Ribs areas and the Broker area. The innovations include the Innovation Quay, a new area that will be built in the Europa dock where it will be possible to see high-tech boats such as the prototype of the Sand marine drone or virtuous examples in the field of sustainability applied to boating. In addition, news also on visitor logistics: there will be a single entrance located north of the Italian dockyard, which will allow the public a more fluid and homogeneous one-way route along the entire perimeter of the hall to admire the boats placed along the two docks. With the involvement of the whole of Versilia, for this edition, a rich calendar of appointments has been devised, conceived and organized together with local authorities and local trade associations. It will begin Thursday 9th May with the VYR Night, the traditional exclusive party reserved for exhibitors in the splendid setting of Pietrasanta, which will also host VYR Yacht & Art, where boating meets in a symbolic “rendez-vous” with art. Friday, May 10th instead of VYR’s happy hour along Via Coppino, while Saturday 11th May will be the time of Notte Blu, a special evening that will involve the boutiques of the Viareggio promenade and then end with a fireworks display off the Darsene. On Sunday 12th May the Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous Golf Cup will take place: a golf tournament held during the morning at the Versilia Golf Resort. Numerous appointments for professionals, such as B&ST – Broker and Shipyard Trading, a B2B networking event that unites shipyards and yacht brokers organized by Navigo and thematic in-depth analyzes developed by Nautica Italiana. Finally, we remember the countless fixed appointments during the days of the show. The works of the Sketches Museum will be on display at various points in the VYR. Vintage cars will frame the event with some fascinating examples of the Alfa Romeo Historical Museum.
