From 6th to 9th May, Milan will once again host the popular TuttoFood kermis, now a true international hub for the agri-food and quality food system. The international review, scheduled from 6th to 9th May in the FieraMilano pavilions and presented in the presence of the Minister for agricultural and tourism policies Gian Marco Centinaio, wants to contain the best of Italian know-how and put it in contact with top buyers, favoring also the presence of foreign countries and companies towards the Italian market. The products of many other nations also find great hospitality, demonstrating that nothing like food is able to unite, and reduce the distances between peoples and cultures. Gian Marco Centinaio, minister of agricultural food and forestry policies “Italian food is very important and must be defended because it is made up of extremely high quality products. The goal we all need to have is to ensure that our producers are increasingly protected and promoted also through international exhibitions such as TuttoFood”. There are even 32 nations that will be present at TuttoFood; the delegations of Spain, Greece, Portugal, the United Kingdom, China and the USA are particularly rich. It is no coincidence, in fact, that the US Department of Agriculture has recognized the Milan fair to actively contribute to the country’s exports. TuttoWine is certainly one of the main innovations of the 2019 edition of TuttoFood: a space dedicated to wine and created in collaboration with Unione Italiana Vini, with the aim of helping buyers to expand during their stay at the fair from food to beverage. We also report the areas dedicated to nutritional traditions, TuttoKosher and TuttoHalal, while TuttoPasta consolidates the dry pasta segment with the expansion of historic producers and a focus on fresh pasta. Evolution Plaza, the digital transformation village that looks to the near future of the sector is also an innovation of 2019. In this area Netcomm, the Italian e-commerce consortium, will bring the eCommerce Food Lab. Among the events, to note the first Forum of Dried Fruit, and with good reason: the category in these years has indeed undergone a great development, with a turn of approximately 834 million euros in 2018.TuttoFood will also be at the side of the third edition of Milano Food City, this year inspired by the genius of Leonardo da Vinci.
