The edition number 115 of MIPEL ended on February 13th, which this year focused on sustainability, environmental awareness and social responsibility. The last edition led by Riccardo Braccialini has achieved good numbers: compared to the previous edition there was a 7% increase in the number of visitors. For the sake of completeness, the year-on-year comparison reveals instead a slight drop, slightly less than 3%. Even exhibitors, the true heart of MIPEL, have increased: 50 new exhibitors, and 20 companies that have chosen to return to exhibit their products. A clear sign of how much the market believes in the added value of participating in this historic exhibition. Going into detail, in the face of a decline in the number of visitors coming from Southeast Asia, European visitors have grown. The results from the Russian Federation (+ 33%), Spain (+ 26%), France (+ 23%) and Germany (+ 21%) were particularly positive. Despite the uncertainties of the domestic market, Italy confirms its top performer, recording a 10% increase in total attendance compared to the September 2018 edition.
Riccardo Braccialini, President of Assopellettieri and MIPEL
“This is the moment to take stock of the activity carried out in the last period. Despite the considerable difficulties encountered, I am satisfied with the work carried out on MIPEL during my term of office. With the help and support of the General Council of Assopellettieri and the Board of Directors of Aimpes Servizi Srl, organizing body of MIPEL, we have embarked on a path that has created the conditions to facilitate business development in favor of our companies and encourage the participation of international players who have made MIPEL more contemporary and able to meet the global needs of the market. I hope that the witness will pass to an enlightened entrepreneur who will continue the path of renewal that began four years ago “.
Danny D’Alessandro, General Manager of Assopellettieri and CEO of MIPEL
“Today an important cycle of renewal and evolution closes. We have delivered the edition n. 115 of the MIPEL event, the last presided by Riccardo Braccialini who, despite the socio-political uncertainties of some markets and the fluctuations of the internal market, registered a better turnout of visitors compared to the September 2018 edition and slightly lower than in February last year. This highlights that the measures taken by the administrative body in charge have returned to the market a truly international event, attracting foreign buyers and exhibitors from all over the world. The Assopellettieri Association and Aimpes Servizi S.r.l. confirm their commitment to growth alongside companies “.
Finally, we remind you that MIPEL awaits you for the 116 edition: the appointment and, again in Fieramilano-Rho, from 15th to 18th September 2019-
