The new Winescape area
The naming, which recalls the terms “escape” and “landscape”, summarizes the spirit of the new thematic area: telling the wine, history and culture of a territory as a lifestyle, an opportunity to escape and explore a new dimension.
With over 500 square meters dedicated, Winescape will find space next to the two special areas RPM – Riva Pianeta Mixology and Solobirra, respectively dedicated to mixed drinking and craft breweries.
In addition to the exhibition reserved for wine resorts, the area will house a wine shop for tastings and tastings and an arena for training activities.
Alessandra Albarelli, general manager of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi: “With Winescape we aim to create new connections between the protagonists of the wine sector and the professionals of Ho.Re.Ca. visiting Hospitality 2022 edition, creating networking opportunities to enhance and capitalize on the potential of the wine tourism economy. The response coming from companies in the sector is very encouraging. To date, we have already selected some Italian and international companies that, with their offer, combine wine production and hospitality, including accommodation immersed in the vineyards and services related to wine tourism “.
The growth of wine tourism
A form of thematic tourism that places wine at the center, representing an instrument for the protection of the cultural, landscape and economic heritage of the territory, wine tourism is a growing segment and the factors that influence the choice of a wine tourism destination include, in addition to a growing interest in wineries located in historic structures, including the landscape and culture of the place.
In fact, the wine tourist wants to understand the characteristics of the wine tasted; for this he studies the territory of origin by exploring the flavors and aromas, traditions and customs of the places of production.
Giovanna Voltolini, exhibition manager of Hospitality 2022 edition: “Winescape wants to be a laboratory of ideas and tools both for operators in the sector determined to make their structure more and more attractive, and for those who want to transform and expand the current business model introducing new reception services or expanding and diversifying the offer. For this reason, within the area there will be numerous training moments, debates and presentations with experts to address issues related to tourism and sustainability, the importance of enhancing the territories as well as masterclasses and tastings to discover new trends between passion for wine and outdoor tourism “.
