Bit – Borsa Internazionale del Turismo (https://bit.fieramilano.it/), scheduled at Fieramilanocity from 9th to 11th February 2020, celebrates its first 40 years. With the fourth stage of the Bit Revolution, the path of renewal begun four years ago, and the 40 candles to be extinguished, the unique Bit dedicated to travellers and operators, is evolving towards new objectives. And the appointment 2020 will be the occasion to live a special moment starting from the different activities that will enhance both the world trade and the consumer. The new edition of Bit already has several confirmations of participation, while numerous negotiations are underway with institutions, institutions and private companies. Signs of a general sentiment of positive sign, testified also from the return, after some years of absence, of player of the field. Recognized by the industry and not as the place of tourist networking, a privileged meeting point for exhibitors, buyers and visitors, Bit is dedicated to contemporary travellers, constantly looking for new locations to explore, original experiences and new ideas for sharing. Therefore, the claim “happiness is a Journey”, introduced by Bit 2018, remains relevant, which wants to be a reminder of the theme of the trip experienced personally with optimism and desire to discover and discover each other.
The numbers of the 2019 edition
The exhibitors of the 2019 edition of Bit were 1,300, representing over 100 destinations both in Italy and worldwide. In some cases it was a return to the fair (France, Germany, Portugal and Switzerland), in other emerging destinations (Albania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia), in others once again as Armenia, Costa Rica, Monaco, Namibia, Oman. The Tourism Exchange 2019 closed with over 46,000 visitors, about 1,500 Italian and foreign buyers from 79 countries and almost 15,000 meetings concluded.
A full calendar of events and events
Many initiatives will take place on the occasion of Bitmilan 2020, which already presents a broad agenda of conferences and the different thematic areas, that in occasion of the 40th edition will be remodulated in favour of a better route of visit and enjoyment.
Among the initiatives addressed exclusively to trade, Bitmilan 2019 offers a schedule of conferences that will deepen the four macroareas training, technology, hot topics, food and wine tourism. Precisely on this topic will be presented the Report on Food and Wine Tourism 2019, updated picture of food and wine tourism in Italy.
